COVID-19 UPDATES

Due to the global outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the health and safety of the Co-Tasker community is our top priority. The Co-Tasker team is watching how the national and international events unfold and how that impacts everyone on Co-Tasker. Co-Tasker operations and customer service are operating as per usual. We wanted to update you with the following information to ensure that our users can use Co-Tasker safely during these challenging times.

Co-Tasker is a local community platform, and we are committed to keeping our app going so that Co-Taskers and Clients can connect whilst following government agency guidelines.

Contactless tasks

Following the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO), we’re advising Clients to request "contactless tasks", to maintain the 2-meter physical distance requirements. E.G. Clients can request that food//medicine deliveries are left in a safe place on their doorstep. Contactless tasks can be requested by mentioning it in the task description before posting, and also in the private chat between a Client and Co-Tasker when they agree to work together.

Online tasks

We strongly advise Clients to choose online tasks over in-person tasks at this moment in time. For example, Marketing, Admin, Copywriting, Translations tasks should be carried out virtually/online.

Service changes

We are committed to keeping our app open to provide essential services, and we will comply with all local, state, and federal guidelines at the same time. We ask all of our customers to keep up to date with the policies and measures related to COVID-19 in their local areas and not to make any task ads that violate applicable government regulations or recommendations.

What to do if symptoms appear?

> If you are a Client with symptoms of illness such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, please cancel the task. There is no cancellation fee regardless of when you cancel.

> If you are a Co-Tasker and you are not feeling well, please cancel your task and take the time it takes to fully recover.

> If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 (or if you have reason to believe that you have COVID-19) or have had contact with someone with COVID-19, please notify us immediately here or through an inquiry in the app. If you have an active task, please cancel it and focus on getting well again.

Cancellation fees due to illness

Clients who cancel a task due to illness within 24 hours of the planned start time of their Task will not be charged a cancellation fee.

As a Co-Tasker who needs to cancel or reschedule a task due to illness, this has no effect on you. This includes cancelling a task when you think the Client may be sick and the task could endanger your health.

Special Notice for Co-Taskers

In accordance with the World Health Organization. Currently, a social distance (2 meters from others) is recommended. Co-Taskers should always communicate with Clients in the private task chat that they are healthy and to ensure that the Client is also healthy - and whether the task requires “contactless” completion.

We recommend Co-Taskers to always carry antibacterial disinfectant with them/in their tool kits. If possible, we also recommend face masks and disposable gloves to provide additional protection. Please avoid using public transportation, and instead use personal vehicles or bikes.

As mentioned, we will send you an email about how to thoroughly carry out your task in the safest possible way.

During this time, we urge you to personally follow the guidelines of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) to keep updated on how you can protect yourself. You can find information about this here in English.
